Rejuvenate, Rejoice, and Restore through Sanskrit Sounds
Sanskrit is the language of vibration. Chanting the beautiful sounds of this ancient language can bring restoration to one's body, equanimity to the mind, and peace and joy to the heart. In this 3 hour workshop, Sanskrit scholar Leslie Freyberg will give guidance in the sounds of the Sanskrit alphabet and will lead in chanting verses from the Bhagavad Gita.

Sanskrit Workshops in Louisville, KY
In this weekend course we will cover all of the sounds of the Sanskrit language. From this foundation, we will experience the articulation of these sounds as we pronounce the names of yoga postures and Sanskrit words often encountered in the study of yoga.
Through the use of our own voices, we will explore the Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali, the cornerstone of the study of yoga, as we learn to chant these profoundly enlightening aphorisms.
The essential meaning of "OM" will be explained through the Yoga Sūtras and the Māṇḍūkya Upaniṣhad.
We will explore cherished verses from the Bhagavad Gītā and other traditional Sanskrit texts as we learn to chant them.
